Overview
Kota Kinabalu International Airport is the main gateway to the Malaysian state of Sabah on Borneo. It is one of Malaysia's busiest airports, handling extensive domestic flights and international services across Southeast and East Asia. The airport is a key hub for travellers heading to Borneo's beaches, dive sites, and Mount Kinabalu.
Transport to city center
The city centre is close to the airport, reached by airport bus, taxi, or ride-hailing in around 15 to 20 minutes. Coupon taxis are available at the terminal.
