Overview

Ireland's main international gateway. Important US pre-clearance facility means you arrive in the US as domestic passenger — saving significant time.

Transport to city center

Airlink bus 747 to city center: 30-45 min, €7. Taxi: €25-35. No direct rail link.

Wi-Fi

Free unlimited WiFi at Dublin Airport — connect to 'DUB Free WiFi'; no time limit.

Lounges

Aer Lingus Gold Circle Lounge, Dublin Airport VIP lounge, multiple airline-specific lounges.

Security & customs

Ireland is not in Schengen and is outside the EU's liquid-screening relaxation in places, so standard 100ml rules apply. US-bound travelers can use US Preclearance at Dublin, clearing US immigration and customs before departure — arrive extra early for it. Irish/EU passport holders and eligible ePassport travelers can use the automated eGates.

Travel tips

US passengers: use Terminal 2 for transatlantic and take advantage of US customs pre-clearance. The airport has no rail link — allow extra time for bus.
