Distance to city
1 km / 5 min by taxi

Overview

Nauru International Airport is the only airport on the island nation of Nauru and is located in Yaren District near the de facto capital. It serves as the home base and hub of the national carrier, Nauru Airlines, which connects the island to Brisbane, Nadi, and other Pacific destinations.

Transport to city center

Yaren and the government district are immediately adjacent to the airport, reachable in just a few minutes by taxi or car. The island's single ring road passes close by.

Wi-Fi

WiFi at the airport is very limited, and overall connectivity on Nauru is slow.

Lounges

The airport does not offer dedicated passenger lounges beyond standard seating in the terminal.

Security & customs

Security and immigration are basic and handled manually, so arrive early for your flight. A visa is generally required in advance, so have all documentation ready for the customs and immigration officers.

Travel tips

Flights operate only a few times a week, so plan around Nauru Airlines' limited schedule and reconfirm before travel. Australian dollars are used, and card facilities are scarce, so carry cash.
