Harry Reid International Airport (LAS) Traveler Essentials

Terminals
T1 (domestic) and T3 (international and some domestic). A free shuttle connects them landside; both have ample dining and, of course, slot machines.
Distance to city
8 km / 10–15 min by taxi or rideshare to the Strip

Overview

One of the few major airports located minutes from a city's main attraction, LAS sits just 5km from the Strip. Famous for slot machines right in the terminals.

Transport to city center

Rideshare and taxis reach the Strip in 10–15 min (taxi USD 25–35). Hotel shuttles and the RTC bus are budget options. Rideshare pickup is at dedicated parking areas.

Wi-Fi

Free unlimited WiFi at Harry Reid — connect to 'McCarran WiFi'; no time limit.

Lounges

The Club at LAS, United Club, and Priority Pass lounges. Options are more limited than at major hubs.

Security & customs

Standard 100ml (3-1-1) liquid rules apply at TSA security; TSA PreCheck lanes speed things up. International arrivals clear US Customs and Border Protection — Mobile Passport Control or Global Entry shortens the wait. The terminals are spread out with slot machines throughout, so allow extra time to reach your gate.

Travel tips

Taxis cannot legally take the tunnel 'long-haul' route — speak up if a driver tries. Rideshare is usually cheaper. Build in extra time for the walk to gates.
