Distance to city
10 km / 30–60 min by taxi depending on traffic

Overview

Manila's international airport has a challenging reputation but recent improvements have helped. All four terminals are now connected by a shuttle bus.

Transport to city center

No direct rail link. PITX bus to Pasay: 30 min. Grab is recommended over metered taxis. Taxi: PHP 300-500.

Wi-Fi

Free WiFi at Ninoy Aquino Airport — connect to the airport network; the free session is time-limited and coverage varies by terminal.

Lounges

Philippine Airlines Mabuhay Lounge, SATS Premier Lounge (pay-per-use). Limited lounge options in T1.

Security & customs

There's a security screening at the terminal entrance plus the main checkpoint, and only ticketed passengers may enter. Use the official yellow airport taxis or the coupon-taxi counter rather than touts. Standard 100ml liquid rules apply; the four terminals are far apart with no airside connection, so confirm your terminal carefully.

Travel tips

Use Grab to book rides — pre-arrange at the official Grab booth in arrivals to avoid scam drivers. Allow extra time for traffic.
