Overview

Riga International Airport is the largest airport in the Baltic states and the main hub for airBaltic. It is the primary international gateway to Latvia and a key connecting point for the region. It serves an extensive network of European destinations.

Transport to city center

Riga city center is about 10 km away; bus 22 and minibuses connect to the center in around 30 minutes, with taxis and ride-hailing also available.

Wi-Fi

Free WiFi is available throughout the terminal.

Lounges

Business lounges, including the airBaltic lounge, are available airside.

Security & customs

EU/EEA passport holders and eligible ePassport visitors can use the automated eGates. Latvia is in Schengen, so intra-Schengen flights skip passport control; standard EU 100ml liquid rules apply.

Travel tips

Bus 22 is an economical route into the old town. As a Baltic hub, allow time for connections between Schengen and non-Schengen flights.
