Overview

Siem Reap Angkor International Airport is the modern gateway to the temples of Angkor. Opened in 2023, it replaced the older city airport and sits farther from town to protect the heritage site. It handles international and domestic flights serving one of Southeast Asia's top tourist destinations.

Transport to city center

Siem Reap lies to the west, reached by taxi, shuttle, or ride-hailing in around 45 minutes to an hour given the greater distance. Many hotels arrange transfers.

Wi-Fi

Free WiFi is available throughout the terminal.

Lounges

Business lounges are available for eligible passengers.

Security & customs

Many nationalities can obtain a Cambodian visa on arrival or e-visa, so have a passport photo and fee ready. Immigration is generally efficient at the new facility.

Travel tips

Allow extra time for the longer transfer compared with the old airport, and pre-book transport. Many visitors arrange tuk-tuk or driver hire for temple visits.
