Adnan Menderes Airport is the main gateway to Turkey's Aegean coast and the country's third-busiest airport. It serves as a focus city for Turkish Airlines, Pegasus and SunExpress, handling heavy seasonal tourist traffic to Izmir, Cesme and Ephesus.
Terminals
The airport has separate domestic and international terminals connected within walking distance, with the modern international terminal handling the bulk of passenger volume.
Transport to city center
IZBAN suburban trains run directly from the airport to Izmir city center and Alsancak, and Havas shuttle buses and taxis are also available.
