Overview

Cancún International Airport is the busiest airport in Mexico after Mexico City and a leading gateway to the Caribbean coast. It handles enormous volumes of international tourist traffic to the Riviera Maya. The airport is among the busiest in Latin America by passenger numbers.

Terminals

The airport operates several terminals (T2, T3, and T4) serving different airlines, connected by shuttle buses.

Transport to city center

ADO buses, authorized shared shuttles, and pre-booked private transfers connect the airport to the Hotel Zone and downtown. The drive to the resorts typically takes around 20-40 minutes.

Lounges

Numerous lounges across the terminals serve premium and Priority Pass passengers.

Travel tips

Ignore unofficial transport touts and use the ADO bus or a pre-booked transfer for reliable service. Check which terminal your airline uses, as they are spread apart.
