Overview

Indira Gandhi International Airport is the busiest airport in India and the main hub for the capital region. It is a major international gateway and a key base for IndiGo and Air India.

Terminals

Three terminals operate, with T3 handling most international and full-service flights and T1/T2 serving low-cost carriers.

Transport to city center

The Airport Express Metro reaches New Delhi station in about 20 minutes, with taxis and app-based cabs also available.

Numerous airline and independent lounges, including premium card lounges, are available in T3.

Travel tips

Use the prepaid taxi counters or app cabs to avoid touts, and allow buffer time in heavy Delhi traffic.
