Blaise Diagne International Airport (DSS)

Dakar, Senegal

Overview

Blaise Diagne International Airport is Senegal's main gateway and a hub for Air Senegal. It replaced the older city airport and is a key node for West African connections.

Terminals

The airport has a single modern terminal handling international and domestic flights. It is spacious and well-equipped.

Transport to city center

The airport lies well outside Dakar, so taxis, shuttle buses and a toll highway are used for the long transfer. A regional express train connects toward the city.

Lounges

Air Senegal and premium lounges are available in departures.

Travel tips

Factor in the long distance to central Dakar when planning your arrival. Carry CFA francs for transport and tolls.
