Entebbe International Airport (EBB)

Overview

Entebbe International Airport is Uganda's only international airport and the main gateway to the country, including its national parks. It lies on the shores of Lake Victoria near Kampala.

Terminals

The airport has a single passenger terminal undergoing ongoing expansion and upgrades. It handles international and limited domestic flights.

Transport to city center

Taxis and pre-arranged transfers cover the roughly 40 km to Kampala, a drive that can take over an hour in traffic. Many lodges arrange airport pickups.

Lounges

A few business lounges are available in departures.

Travel tips

Apply for your Uganda visa online in advance to speed up arrival. Carry your yellow fever certificate, which is required.

Airport Wi-Fi

Free Wi-Fi is available in the terminal.

Security and arrival

Immigration checks the yellow fever certificate and e-visa, so have both ready. Expect security screening at the airport entrance.
