Edinburgh Airport (EDI)
Edinburgh, United Kingdom
Overview
Edinburgh Airport is the busiest airport in Scotland and a major gateway to the country. It serves a wide range of domestic, European and long-haul destinations through a mix of full-service, low-cost and charter airlines. It is a key hub for travel across central Scotland.
Terminals
A single large terminal handles all flights, with separate domestic and international zones and an extensive shopping and dining area airside.
Transport to city center
The Edinburgh Trams and Airlink 100 bus both run frequently to the city center in around 30 minutes, with taxis taking a similar time.
Lounges
Several pay-in and airline lounges are located airside in the departures area.
Travel tips
Trams can be busy at peak times, so buy a ticket from the machines in advance and allow extra time during festival season in August.
