Ramon Airport (ETM)

Eilat, Israel

Overview

Ramon Airport serves the Red Sea resort city of Eilat and replaced the old in-town Eilat Airport in 2019. Located in the Timna Valley, it handles domestic flights from Tel Aviv and seasonal international charters and low-cost services from Europe. It is southern Israel's main air gateway.

Terminals

A single modern terminal handles both domestic and international traffic, with a striking wave-like roof and a straightforward layout.

Transport to city center

Eilat is about 18 km south; Egged buses connect the airport with the city center and taxis are readily available outside arrivals.

Lounges

A lounge is available airside for premium and eligible cardholder passengers.

Travel tips

Eilat is a VAT-exempt free trade zone, so many goods are cheaper than elsewhere in Israel. Bring sun protection, as the desert location is extremely hot in summer.
