Ministro Pistarini International Airport (Ezeiza) (EZE)

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Overview

Ezeiza (EZE) is Buenos Aires' main international airport, located 35km from the city centre. A pleasant, manageable airport handling most long-haul international flights. The city's secondary airport, Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP), handles domestic and some regional flights and is located on the city's waterfront.

Terminals

Terminal A (most international) and Terminal B (some LAN/LATAM and domestic). Clear wayfinding between them. Currency exchange available but rates are poor — use an ATM for pesos.

Transport to city center

Manuel Tienda León bus to downtown (45–75 min, ARS$3000). Taxi from official rank: ARS$8000–12000 (always use official taxis). Remis (private hire) arranged at the arrivals desk. Allow 60–90 minutes during rush hours.

Lounges

LATAM VIP Lounge, American Airlines Admirals Club, and several Priority Pass lounges available. Aerolíneas Argentinas lounge is open to business class passengers.

Travel tips

Exchange only small amounts at the airport — ATMs or licensed cambio houses in the city offer better rates. The official 'blue rate' is legal via certain apps (Prex, Brubank) — significantly more favourable than the official rate. Keep your airport shuttle receipt as a reference for the return journey.
