Glasgow Airport (GLA)

Overview

Glasgow Airport is the main airport serving Glasgow and the west of Scotland and one of the busiest in the UK. It offers domestic, European, and some long-haul flights. It is a key gateway to Scotland.

The airport operates from a main terminal with an additional pier, handling all scheduled flights.

Transport to city center

The Glasgow Airport Express bus (500) connects to the city center and major rail stations in about 15–25 minutes, with taxis also available.

Lounges including the Lomond and Upperdeck lounges are available airside.

Travel tips

The Airport Express bus is the quickest route into the city center. Pre-book parking and security fast track during busy periods.

Security and arrival

ePassport holders from eligible countries can use the automated eGates. The UK is outside the EU, so standard customs allowances apply; check current liquid rules before traveling.
