Overview

Tokyo's more central airport is preferred by many travelers — just 14km from the city, with excellent connectivity and fewer crowds than Narita.

Tokyo Monorail to Hamamatsucho: ~18 min. Keikyu Line to Shinagawa/downtown: ~30 min. Taxis: 45-60 min, ¥7,000+.

Travel tips

International terminal has excellent Japanese restaurants airside. Traditional crafts shopping is a highlight.

Security and arrival

Foreign visitors are fingerprinted and photographed at immigration; complete the Visit Japan Web QR codes online beforehand to speed customs and immigration. Standard 100ml liquid rules apply at security. Japan strictly bans certain medications and fresh produce — check restrictions, and use the eGates if eligible.
