NYC's main international gateway. 9 terminals in various states of renovation. The new Terminal 6 (Delta) and Terminal 8 (American/BA) are excellent.
Terminals
Terminals 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. AirTrain connects all terminals to subway and Jamaica LIRR station.
Transport to city center
AirTrain to Jamaica then E/J/Z subway: ~75 min, $8.75 total. AirTrain to Howard Beach then A subway: ~60 min. Taxi: $70 flat rate + tolls/tip.
Lounges
Delta Sky Club (T4, excellent), AA Flagship Lounge (T8), Centurion Lounge (T4), numerous lounges across terminals.
Travel tips
AirTrain + subway is the best value. Flat-rate taxi to Manhattan ($70 + tolls/tip) is stress-free. Allow 3+ hours for international departures.
