Overview

Kansai International Airport, built on an artificial island in Osaka Bay, is the main international gateway for the Kansai region. It serves Osaka, Kyoto, and Kobe with extensive long-haul and regional flights.

Terminals

Terminal 1 handles full-service carriers and Terminal 2 serves low-cost airlines, with a shuttle bus between them.

Transport to city center

The JR Haruka Express and Nankai Rapi:t trains link the airport to central Osaka, with limousine buses also available.

Lounges

Multiple airline and card lounges are located in Terminal 1.

Travel tips

Buy an ICOCA card or rail pass for smooth onward travel across the Kansai region.
