Overview

Manchester Airport is the largest airport in the UK outside London and the main gateway to northern England. It offers a broad mix of domestic, European, and long-haul intercontinental flights. It handles tens of millions of passengers each year.

The airport has three terminals (T1, T2, and T3), with T2 expanded as the main hub; the terminals are linked by a covered walkway and shuttle.

Transport to city center

A dedicated rail station connects the airport to Manchester Piccadilly in about 15–20 minutes, with trams, buses, and taxis also available.

Travel tips

Check your terminal carefully and allow time to walk between them via The Station concourse. Pre-book security fast track and parking during busy periods.
