Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP)
Milan, Italy
Overview
Milan Malpensa is the largest airport serving Milan and northern Italy and the country's main intercontinental gateway after Rome. It handles long-haul and European flights for a wide range of carriers. It is the busiest of Milan's three airports.
Terminals
Malpensa has two terminals: the large Terminal 1 for most full-service and long-haul flights and Terminal 2 used primarily by low-cost carriers, linked by a free shuttle bus.
Transport to city center
The Malpensa Express train runs to Milano Cadorna and Centrale stations in about 40–55 minutes, complemented by shuttle buses and taxis with a fixed fare to the city.
Lounges
Multiple lounges operate at Terminal 1, including SkyTeam, Sala Montale, and contract lounges.
Travel tips
Check which terminal your flight uses, as the two are several kilometers apart. Buy the fixed-fare taxi or the Malpensa Express in advance to save time.
