Overview

O'Hare International Airport is one of the world's busiest airports and a major hub for both American Airlines and United Airlines. It is the primary international gateway to Chicago and the U.S. Midwest, handling enormous domestic and international volumes.

Terminals

Four terminals (1, 2, 3, and 5) connect via the Airport Transit System, with Terminal 5 handling most international arrivals.

Transport to city center

The CTA Blue Line train runs directly from the airport to downtown Chicago in about 45 minutes, with taxis and ride-shares also available.

Lounges

Numerous airline and pay-per-use lounges operate across the terminals.

Travel tips

Allow ample time for inter-terminal transfers and security, as O'Hare is large and can be congested.
