Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG)
Prague, Czech Republic
Overview
Václav Havel Airport is Central Europe's fourth busiest airport, handling 17+ million passengers. A well-organized airport with two interconnected terminals, strong links to the city, and a new metro line under construction that will provide direct rapid transit by 2028.
Terminals
Terminal 1 (non-Schengen — intercontinental, UK, and non-EU flights) and Terminal 2 (Schengen — EU/EEA flights). Interconnected within security. The distinction matters for Schengen transit.
Transport to city center
Bus 119 to Nádraží Veleslavín, then Metro A to centre (40–50 min, CZK 40 — 90 min ticket). AE (Airport Express) bus direct to hlavní nádraží main station (35 min, CZK 100). Uber: CZK 400–600, 25–40 min. Bolt is cheaper. Licensed airport taxis: CZK 500–700. No direct metro yet — planned for 2028.
Lounges
Czech Airlines Business Lounge (Priority Pass eligible), No.1 Traveller Lounge, and several Priority Pass options in both terminals.
Travel tips
Always use Uber, Bolt, or the pre-paid taxi counter — unofficial taxi drivers at Prague airport are notoriously exploitative. The metro + bus combination is slow but cheap. The airport is compact and efficient — 90 minutes is plenty for check-in and security.
