Overview

Salzburg Airport, named after W. A. Mozart, is the second-busiest airport in Austria and the main gateway to the Salzburg region. It serves European city routes and a strong winter season of ski charters. It is a popular gateway to the Austrian Alps.

Terminals

Two terminals operate, with Terminal 1 handling scheduled flights and Terminal 2 used for charter overflow.

Transport to city center

City bus line 2 connects the airport to central Salzburg in about 20 minutes, with taxis being faster.

A business lounge is available in the departures area.

Travel tips

Winter weekends are very busy with ski traffic, so allow extra time and buy bus tickets before boarding.
