Overview

Warsaw Chopin Airport is Poland's largest and busiest, handling 20+ million passengers and serving as LOT Polish Airlines' hub. A modern, well-organized airport close to the city centre, with decent facilities and fast rail connections into the city.

Terminals

Terminal A (main, all flights) with 5 concourses (A1–A5). Schengen and non-Schengen wings clearly separated. Accessible and easy to navigate.

Transport to city center

SKM Commuter Rail to Warsaw Central (25 min, PLN 5) — runs every 15–30 minutes. Bus 175 to city centre (40 min, PLN 4.40). Taxi: PLN 50–70, 20–30 min (Bolt/Uber significantly cheaper than airport taxis). The SKM train is excellent value.

Lounges

LOT Business Lounge (Priority Pass eligible), Aspire Lounge, Humming Bird Lounge. The LOT lounge offers good Polish food options including pierogi and żurek soup.

Travel tips

The SKM train from Chopin to Warsaw Centre is fast and cheap — buy a 1-day city pass for unlimited transport. Polish Złoty is needed for taxis and smaller purchases — ATMs in the arrivals hall have good rates. Bolt is significantly cheaper than airport taxi ranks.
