Overview

Vancouver International Airport is the second-busiest airport in Canada and a major hub for trans-Pacific traffic between North America and Asia. It is a primary hub for Air Canada and serves as a key gateway to British Columbia. The airport is frequently recognized for its design, art installations, and passenger experience.

Terminals

The airport has a Main Terminal for domestic and international flights plus a South Terminal for regional and floatplane services. The Main Terminal is divided into domestic, US transborder, and international concourses.

Transport to city center

The Canada Line SkyTrain runs directly from the terminal to downtown Vancouver in about 25 minutes. Taxis and ride-hailing services are also readily available.

Multiple lounges operate here, including Air Canada Maple Leaf Lounges and Plaza Premium lounges.

Travel tips

US-bound travelers clear American immigration and customs before departure, so allow extra time. The SkyTrain is the fastest and cheapest way downtown.
