Overview
Kosovo is one of the most affordable destinations in Europe, with very low costs for food, transport, and accommodation making it particularly friendly for budget travelers. The capital Pristina has seen modest price increases in recent years due to growing tourism and expat presence, but overall costs remain well below Western European standards. Eating and drinking out is exceptionally cheap, with local cuisine offering excellent value.
Notes
Use shared minibuses (furgons) between cities for very low fares instead of taxis, and eat at local burek shops and qebaptore restaurants to keep meal costs minimal. Paying with cash is widely preferred and can sometimes yield small discounts.
