Overview

Latvia is a moderately affordable destination by Western European standards, with Riga being the most expensive city while rural areas remain very budget-friendly. Accommodation and dining costs have risen in recent years due to inflation and increased tourism, but Latvia still offers good value compared to Scandinavian or Western European neighbors. Transport within the country is inexpensive, and local markets and supermarkets keep food costs low for self-catering travelers.
