The airport consistently wins awards for efficiency and passenger satisfaction. The Flytoget airport express is one of Europe's best airport rail connections.

Transport to city center

Flytoget Express Train direct to Oslo Central (20 min, NOK 230 — pricey but exceptional). NSB/VY regional train (24 min, NOK 102 — slightly slower, stop at Lillestrøm). Airport Express Coach (50 min, NOK 179 — more stops, serves hotels). Taxi: NOK 600–900, 45–60 min.

Wi-Fi

Free unlimited WiFi at Oslo Gardermoen — connect to the airport network; no time limit.

Lounges

Norwegian Air Shuttle Lounge, SAS Gold Lounge (Priority Pass eligible), Aviator Lounge, and Maple Leaf Lounge. Oslo airport has multiple Priority Pass-accessible lounges.

Security & customs

Norway is in Schengen, so flights to/from other Schengen countries skip passport control; eligible ePassport travelers can use the automated eGates. Standard Schengen 100ml liquid rules apply at security. The arrivals duty-free offers good value on alcohol given Norway's high prices — buy within your allowance.

Travel tips

Flytoget is genuinely one of the world's best airport trains — comfortable, frequent, and punctual. Norwegian customs allowances are strict — declare all goods over limits. The Duty Free shop at Gardermoen is excellent for Norwegian products (Aquavit, smoked salmon) at competitive prices.
