Getting around
Morocco has a good rail network including the high-speed Al Boraq line between Tangier and Casablanca, plus comfortable CTM and Supratours coaches to cities the trains don't reach. Within cities, use red 'petit taxis' (insist on the meter) and shared 'grand taxis' between towns; ride-hailing apps like Careem operate in a legal grey area.
Safety
Morocco is relatively safe. Be prepared for persistent vendors in medinas.
Tipping customs
Tipping is customary throughout Morocco. Leave around 10% in restaurants (or round up at cafés), round up taxi fares, and keep small dirham notes ready for hotel porters, housekeeping, guides and parking attendants.
Travel tips
Bargaining is expected in souks — start at 30-40% of asking price. Dress modestly.
